The End Of Araragi's Story... | Zoku Owarimonogatari Episode 6 REACTION

One of my favorite anime episodes period. Just a stunning way to end this story, it was an absolute treat! The entire message of the arc was very well constructed and I am oh so curious to see what's in store in Off & Monster!

kinda funny that youre caught up now, I surely didnt expect more after Zoku. But I loved it. As for next, could try Katanagatari, completely unrealated plot but the same author.

I appreciate the kind words, I'm glad to hear that my enjoyment of the show came across in the videos!

I also think there's a bit of a meta element to this whole arc as well. Reflecting on the entire story now that it's over (or was supposed to be lol), and all the "regrets" the author may have had. I do think this was originally meant to be the final book, since it was over a year between this one and the next one, the longest gap in the series by far.

I think there's a lot of significance to the way Senjogahara is dressed in that final scene. Since she was a victim of (attempted) SA, she always dressed very modestly. Long shirts, long skirts, stockings or socks to cover her legs, etc. I think it shows a lot of development, recovery, and courage for her to show her body like that, and I think it was only possible for her because of Araragi (and his perversion lol)

My interpretation is that there is no "world" inside the mirror and there never was. Mirrors are not portals to another world, but objects that reflect (and absorb) light. In this case, that 20% of absorbed light represents regrets. As Ougi put it, "Things that were better left forgotten." Araragi, unable to let go of his regrets and uncertain of his future, simply reached into the mirror and pulled them out. Both his own, and everyone else's. This turned his world into a "mirror world" where people appear to be "reflected," but are really just openly showing their regrets. He and everyone else may have moved on from those regrets by the end, but they'll never be left forgotten. As Araragi reflects (lol), "It should be fine to think back on it every so often."

You should definitely check out Kaiji. It’s one of the most intense, psychologically heavy anime out there, packed with high-stakes gambles and mind games at every turn. The whole show is built on mental battles. If you want something that keeps you on edge and really makes you think, Kaiji is worth watching

Hard to tell if it was actually intentionally foreshadowed, but all the way back in Nisemonogatari Ep. 5, Tsukihi tells Araragi that she doesn't really have any regrets (and wishes she did), which is why she appears to be the only one that has no change in Zoku.

Leave to the monogatari series to have multiple great endings to the saga. Can't wait to see your reaction to its epilouges, if you can call them that.
