Girls und Panzer Episode 12 REACTION

Absolutely intense final battle, I was at the edge of my seat! The POV shots were fantastic and it was incredible seeing all the strategy. On to the OVAs and movies we go!

Girls und Panzer Episode 12 REACTION

Comments

There some videos on Youtube called "The History in Girls und Panzer" by Potential History that goes over all of the historical references in the show. It's a fun watch if you're interested.

Bavost

@DomiDsLP Yeah I think some comments mentioned it in passing in previous episodes. das FINALE 05 will most likely be in theaters in Japan sometime at the end of this year, with it releasing on BluRay in early 2026. Then das FINALE 06 would most likely be theaters in 2027 with BluRays in 2028. As far as I'm aware, that's the end of the currently planned animated media.

Kelven

Oh. I didn't realize it that this is still an ongoing media as a whole. Mat probably didn't either until your comment here.

I will just have to rewatch this reaction sped up in x1.5 and find the moments I wanted to comment on again then or else, this will bug me forever: - 5:03: Right, the German Dub made this more clear as in "it's so heavyly armored, a tank could drive atop of it" in Saori's words which of course makes Miho's plan much more reasonable than with the text of these subs. Judging by what I can hear in her Japanese, perhaps... such a more direct approach could have worked for the subs too... - 6:57: There is the part with the mention of the carbon coating. - 16:38: Such unconventional strategies like Miho's often work without shells for one of the tanks after all. - 20:28: By the way... great that you did miss the white flag on the Tiger in the scene before you actively reacted to it. LOL - Right, if the school actually closed due to them losing, then the position of the OVAs and movies in the timeline would be very questionable (aside of the Anzio battle that is)... so I suppose that was basically the only logical option here. - 26:50: This Japanese Home Release anti redistribution warning was present on several of the previous episodes too, but you never saw it due to those being after the Next Episode Preview or rather generally just at the end of the video. - 27:59: Oh yeah... her sister be like "You are no good in the Nishizumi Style, but you are good as a Senshado commander, I will give you that with a smile.".

DomiDsLP

So, I messed up and forgot to post my comment. WHOOPS. It was definitely a wonderful finale to the TV series alright. In any case, I definitely wanted to mention the time in there where the carbon protecting the people inside of the tanks is actually directly mentioned.

DomiDsLP

I appreciate the breakdown, it saves me a lot of planning!

Final final final movies still long way to go. We still on the das Finale 4 which is released on oct 6, 2023 and there is 2 more movies after which is das finale 5 and 6. das finale 5 & 6 will be released in few years. das finale always released every 2-3 years so maybe this year or next year das finale 5 will be released. and yeah das finale 6 is the grand last movie

MIF Reaction

Mako's reaction when her absentee data gets deleted is probably the most energetic we'll ever see her

OK, since it's episode 12, I'll post a (hopefully) easier to read watch order for what's remaining. I'll also put their total runtime so you can more easily decide how you want to go about it. IMPORTANT!!! - Since I noticed a few people mentioning this in other comments, I'll also mention it incase you wanted to consider it. The Anzio battle that was skipped in the tournament, is OVA 07. HOWEVER you could watch it right now. It doesn't *need* to be after OVA 06. I know a lot of people are really looking forward to you seeing the Anzio battle (and arguably best girl). Anywho, I know you talked about wanting to cut everything up into 30 minute (or "episode length") chunks. If you did cut them up into chunks, you could do OVA 01 to OVA 03 for a watch time of 38 minutes (or 29 skipping OP/EDs), and OVA 04 to 06 for a watch time of 36 minutes (or 28 skipping the OP/EDs) pretty easily. I mention skipping the OP/EDs because they are identical to the TV show's OP/EDs, so you can save a lot of time by just skipping them if you wanted. OVA 01: Water War! (10 minutes, or 7 skipping the OP/ED) OVA 02: Survival War! (14 minutes, or 11 skipping the OP/ED) OVA 03: Schoolship War! (14 minutes, or 11 skipping the OP/ED) OVA 04: Anglerfish War! (4 minutes, or 2 skipping the OP/ED) OVA 05: Snow War! (15 minutes, or 12 skipping the OP/ED) OVA 06: Banquet War! (17 minutes, or 14 skipping the OP/ED) OVA 07: Kore ga Honto no Anzio-sen Desu! (Eng: This is the Real Anzio Battle!)

Good question about the amount of Maus tanks a school could have. I don't think it was ever answered if they are allowed to build new tanks or only use existing ones. In case of the latter the Maus would be limited to one, but even that one is just an unfinished prototype.

FluidDruid

I think he's watching the version with remastered audio so at least his ears are already prepared for what's coming.

FluidDruid

i remember thinking this final battle and standoff were awesome and epic (dont get me wrong it absolutely was) but some of the stuff in the movies will just blow you away, on a completely different level
