Yeah, the 3D gets noticably better as the show goes on. It's one of the things I like about the show; you can really tell that the animators are getting more experienced and comfortable with it.

I don't think we have seen this team in the show yet... in terms of their VAs, there is certainly something in there which I am very eager to share, but... I will wait until this team is actually introduced. Well, I suppose there just was noone else left to showcase there. - 26:13: And aside of that... the angles and way the shots were shown make it impossible to know at the cliffhanger if the final shots on both Flag Tanks even *hit* at all. Though... I suppose it would be anti-climatic if this didn't end the battle one way or another. - Now... this is the second and last outsourced episode of the TV series... this time outsourced to Korean studio Jumondou whilst also having a storyboard by the series director himself for this dramatic episode. VAs for two important characters (I think I had Miho's sister already, but whatever): - 冬馬由美 (Yumi Touma) voices Miho's mother from the Nishizumi family. - And Miho's sister, Maho Nishizumi, is voiced by 田中理恵 (Rie Tanaka).

2025-01-11 22:00:52 +0000 UTCI forget which scene I'm thinking of right now, but I feel like there was one that either showed or suggested you can also manually trigger the flag if need/wanted. That said, I'd imagine it'd be against the rules to enter an enemy tank to manually pop a flag.

To further explain, here's a copy&paste from the GuP Wiki explaining the system: To determine if a shell would have knock out a tank or not each shell have an internal micro-chip that, when the shell hit a tank, send data to a black box located inside said tank. The black box calculate various factors such as distance, trajectory, calibre of the shell, velocity, armour thickness of the tank and so on to determine if that shot would have penetrated or not. This system works similarly to the real-life MILES technology used by many armed forces all around the globe for training.

2025-01-11 20:14:48 +0000 UTCIf I remember correctly it's described in one of the recap episode how the white flag is activated. Here's how it works: 1) The ammo is designed to not penetrate the armor. It's more or less fireworks but with more oomph in the explosion. 2) Each round has a transmitter inside it. 3) Each tank is equipped with a judging device that uses the data from the transmitter to calculate power, location and angle of a hit. 4) If the calculated damage from the hit is high enough it'll trigger the white flag.
