2025-01-22 00:13:22 +0000 UTCI got to see this in theaters. The Saber v Berserker fight had me sunk into the back of my seat. Favorite part, though, was Archer saving the two during, dropping Shirou on his ass, then gently setting down Illya. Also I would like to vote for prisma.

2024-12-28 11:51:58 +0000 UTCRelatively rare, that a reactor advocates so hard for killing Sakura :D It's understandable, and probably the rational choice. But the story would be basically over then, and Shirou swore to become a Hero of Justice for Sakura, after all. That said, in the VN you can choose to bring the knife down, but that is an instant bad end :D As for the spin-offs, I still vote for Today's Menu for the Emiya Family. A nice, cute slice-of-life show could be just what is needed after Heaven's Feel :D

2024-12-27 22:47:35 +0000 UTCThe replacement for sex thing was not the high jump, but the weird thing with the whale in UBW, also this is a movie so they can show more, though still not go as far as the original VN. Here we have many revelations, the Rin and Sakura sisters thing, but also what Sakura has been going through all this time. Shinji seems like such a worthless bumbling fool so often, until the end of UBW where he got a little too hands on with Rin, now you can see he's been like that the entire time. Which might also recontextualize the ending of UBW, where Sakura is helping him recover in the hospital. Who knows how that ends up, since we follow Rin and Shirou to London instead. My personal vote is still for Prisma Illya, It's easily my favorite spin off, if it was between Kara no Kyoukai and Apocrypha, I'd go with Kara no Kyoukai. Kara no Kyoukai is a series of movies and certainly higher quality, though it's not a spin off, just related and in the same universe. The original Kara no Kyoukai was actually written before Fate/Stay Night even. A lot of people did not like Apocrypha when it was airing, I remember a lot of negativity surrounding it. I did personally enjoy it, and I do recommend it. I just like Prisma more, especially since it continues these characters who I like much more. Prisma Illya also aired much earlier, already having 2 seasons out before even the UBW series started, only the original F/SN anime, original UBW movie, and Zero were out before it was. Although between it's series and movies Prisma Illya is probably about as long as Zero, UBW, and the HF movies combined, so it would take a good while to get through. The one thing I would certainly say is if you're going to do any Grand Order, do it last, it's based on the gacha game, which does have a good story, but pulls on many areas for characters and will spoil some characters if watched before certain series.
