Shirou shouldn't be able to beat Gilgamesh. Just one small problem with that: opps always forget that Shirou's HIM.

Lot of fun takes on the plot and characters, incredibly well done/edited and decently youtube friendly.

One of my favorite versions of the Emiya theme played during that last part of Shirou vs. Gil (there are a ton of versions of it, it's one of the iconic OSTs from the VN. it also plays a little in the Archer vs. Shirou fight). Heh, the Fate/stay night Visual Novel recently got an official release with an official translation and a remaster, it's on steam now! The Fate route especially has some of the most emotional moments for me! Also Archer basically just didn't die in the first place. He just managed to somehow go into spirit form at the last second, and stayed that way to conserve mana, waiting until he could save everyone again :D Some people theorize that Archer at the end got summoned in his capacity as a Counter Guardian, since the world was in real danger. That is not true though, as in that case he wouldn't have any memories of this Holy Grail War, and he probably also would look different (no red coat). Looking forward to the next episode, and the "Sunny Day" OVA!

2024-12-20 19:07:27 +0000 UTCGilgamesh had multiple chances to beat Shirou, but he blew all of them because of his arrogance. His last chance was to grab EA but he hesitated since he didn't want to use EA against Shirou and that gave Shirou enough time to get close.
