Yup. I had to take a two week break from the anime after seeing Mami’s death. I, thankfully, went into PMMM completely and utterly unknowing of the events, just having heard it was THE dark Magical Girl anime. I spent that two week just trying to process.

Sayaka, Kyouko, Mami, and then Homura, whom turns and reaches out to Madoka as she loses her reach of her. Damn! I’ve always just vibes with the song playing, which is one of the best tracks I’ve ever found in an anime. I just can’t grasp my ignorance!

Also the contracts are made verbally but yes they get their wish as soon as the sign the contract. I think one of my favorite things about madoka magica is that it shows there is real risk in fighting witches.
