January Short Story - Alyia and the Magic Shop
Added 2023-01-22 04:03:56 +0000 UTCI'd hoped to have this out yesterday. Unfortunately, I got delayed by some frustrating issues with a Left Hand Magic animation and didn't get the editing pass done until just now. Oh well. It's still on time, after all.
Anyway! This is, as voted for in the poll, the next iteration of Alyia and the Magic Shop...with a surprise crossover appearance from another of my short short series ;-). I'm fairly happy with the result. Honestly, the only thing I'm slightly unhappy with is where I ended it. It feels slightly unfinished to me...but I couldn't figure out what else to do to resolve that with overextending it by a lot. As it is, it's slightly shorter than normal, but not by much. It's around 4,250 words, with the usual target being roughly 5,000. All in all I'm still reasonably pleased with how it turned out.
Anyway, as usual, the story is attached as a PDF. Aside from the archive post update I'll do in a bit, you should expect to see a Progress Report sometime tomorrow. Then, hopefully, the Mixed Media release either Monday evening or sometime Tuesday, depending on how the writing part of it goes.
