One of the movies is a recap with mostly just the anime footage but it does have a handful of new scenes in it focusing on a specific character throughout the story and an ending sequence that leads into the sequel. There are youtube videos with just those scenes (revue starlight rondo rondo rondo new scenes ~9:45 length) would recommend watching it before the sequel movie
