Poll Results + Progress Report

Okay! I had originally intended to split this into two posts, with one yesterday and one today. Unfortunately, minor issues occurred that caused a bit of delay, so...combined post! Sorry that doing it this way makes it a bit...long. I'll try not to ramble too much.

Short Story Poll:

This one surprised me with how utterly unambiguous the end result was. Also...with what the end result was at all. I had zero idea that Lilith's Exploration had apparently gone over so well. Regardless, after the weighting was applied, here are the results:

Nope. Definitely didn't call Lilith's Exploration taking nearly double the next highest result. Not that I have an issue with that. Lilith's Exploration was a pretty fun one to write, since it got me out of the rut I'd been in with a lot of similarish content! So, look forward to seeing that story continue this month! I currently only have a loose outline of where it's going, so I'll get back to you when I have a better idea on it. 

Mixed Media Poll:

This had another clear winner...and a relatively predicable one. You guys really do like the Silas Station series ;-). I've got a loose plan for it already, but I need to do a bit of puzzling over how to make it all fit together. I'll likely start renders on it either tonight in the early AM, or tomorrow sometime.

Progress Report!

The mixed media and short stories have yet to be started. I'm a little worried about that in the case of the short stories. Generally I try to get one of them done at the front end of the month. But this month the time I usually use for that was chewed up by the planning phase for the Escape Game. As long as none of them fight with me too much, it shouldn't be a problem. But, well...we'll see. That really just leaves two other bits to mention (Hint: Read the Wallpaper entry even if you normally don't get that reward):

Escape Game

...I really need to actually name this, huh? Well, aside from that, progress is going...good? I've a bit of a confession to make. My bad habit of overdoing things has struck again. I expected the entire game to be around 80 renders. I've made 53 so far for just one of the two paths. And I expect another 15 or so at least. So...um...oops?

Honestly, it's not really a bad thing, unless my extending the scenes turns out to slow the game down to much. In which case I can always trim things down if I have to. And, despite my...er...overenthusiaism...I'm actually pretty much on target to the timeline I had mapped out. Mostly because I toned down the resolution for the game. Left Hand Magic and Haven's Port are both rendered in 2K. The Escape Game is being rendered at regular 1080p HD instead. Add in me simplify the scenes somewhat, minimizing the number of characters and such, and the difference in render time for each individual render is pretty stark. Hence still being on target despite making a lot more renders than I had originally planned for.

On current course, I expect to be done with rendering for the first path the 13th or 14th. And completely done with that path maybe 2-3 days after that. After that I'll start up the second path, which should actually go a bit faster since I'm not doing the front end stuff like creating the main character. And a lot of the planned content is less finicky too. I'm not anticipating any issue with getting both paths finished by the end of the month. Though I'm very uncertain if I'll be able to add the variant routes that I was hoping to slip it. We'll see. Either way, I'm fairly happy with the progress here.

Wallpapers

I'm doing something slightly special this month. I actually created four wallpapers over the weekend. Two of those, both of them NSFW this time, will remain exclusive to the Royalty Tier, as usual. The other two, however, are part of a Christmas Special package I intended to release for all patrons on the 24th/25th. 

That package will include one of the short stories for the month (Holiday Themed) and a set of two wallpapers. One SFW and one...halfway to NSFW? I wanted to do at least something Holiday themed, so this planned package is it. I'll go ahead and process the two exclusive wallpapers sometime in the next few days and release them around the 15th, ish, as I typically would. The Holiday Special ones will be released on either the evening of the 24th or sometime on the 25th.
