Today I started working on my Dawn model, as you can see from the previews. I believe this is going to be the first 3D printable model of this character, since I couldn't find any stl file of her. Due to this, I went with a very traditional pose from one of her original artworks.
Dawn is going to be released on February 2, 2025.

Thank you once again for the detailed feedback! Dawn doesn't seem like a popular character these days, but I'm sure she has fans out there, so it's being a pleasure to work on a more obscure model like this one. She's very pretty in all her versions. I agree with you with the sword grip. I wanted to replicate the reference image, but a reverse grip does look better in the 3D model. I changed it today, and I'll show more images later. As for the outfit, I think this will be a matter of personal preference, and since I already had a few items refined, I'll go with the one I outlined in the first previews.

2025-01-21 22:29:39 +0000 UTCTake all this with a grain of salt - I didn't know Dawn until a moment ago and even missed the poll where she was chosen - but: - I think the sword coming up in front of her shoulder looks very weird. I found the artwork you used as inspiration and imho it is taking some artistic liberties to fit the constraints and goals of a comic book cover. I think it would look less awkward if she would hold it in a classic reverse grip, blade running up along the back of her arm. I can make one of my sketches if you don't immediately get what I mean. - I'm very torn here, but from all the artworks I just browsed this outfit is probably my least favourite. I think the shoulder-free body suit is peak sexy, and the hip armour is pretty cool too. On the other hand, an exposed lower abdomen/hips is probably the most erotic part of a woman's body. At the same time, I guess the full outfit is probably quite a bit more work to sculpt. If you're open for some more heavy involvement on my part I would offer to sketch some alternative outfits. Other than that, I am again very, very pleasantly surprised at the pure gold you keep digging up with these old school comic babes. Also, some of those Dawn covers... How the hell are some people able to paint something so sexy... Those breasts, man...
