Lady Mechanika wip01

Hello!

A few weeks ago I created a poll to help me choose a character that will have no deadline. Lady Mechanika was the winner, and I'm going to work on this model with a lot of attention to detail, until I consider it finished, no matter how long it takes.

This is the pose I chose for her. Since this model will be developed over a longer period of time, feedback and suggestions are more welcome than usual, as I'll have more time to apply changes to everything :)

Thank you for the feedback! I must say that I'm having a lot of trouble with her outfit definition, as it seems to vary greatly from issue to issue. Since this is a longer project with no fixed deadline, I'm fully open to alternative parts, but first I want to at least finish the basic version to get a feeling of how much work lies ahead of me. She's got a very intricate design, overall. I'm following the outfit of her first issue's cover, and even though a Victorian skirt would look really nice, I'll try to stick to the reference first, just to give me a more defined direction. But like I said, once I'm done with the sculpting stage, I'd definitely love to add a couple of variations or more ;)

Ok, I have a few suggestions. 1. Love this pose, it works for the character. 2. the outfit seems to match a lot of covers, I would like to see a few options or tweaks. a. She generally has an "updo" hairstyle, perhaps we could get a few options for longer or shorter hair. b. In some covers she has mechanical left arm - issue no 4)... not sure if thats just a cover or canon but looks pretty cool as either an option or as her arm. c. Her outfit looks good with just pants but she does also go full Victorian too - maybe a skirt, half skirt or bustle kind of option would work as clothing option for the bottom half. It could be an add over the existing clothed legs so minimal extra modeling. I think that could give her a more dynamic pose without changing her actual pose positioning at all. All of these are only potential adds, none are critiques of your current concept. The last suggestion as you work on detail.... you can never have too many steampunk elements in a steampunk character.
