Call for suggestions and a change to my Patreon

For my September 2024 release, I'll make one change to my Patreon that I hope you guys understand. Here's the thing: I've been releasing five models a month, and I love the fact that I can offer this many models in each release.
However, I also wish I had more time to try to improve my work and test a few new things on the technical side of my models. To do this, I'll make one simple change to my releases:
I'll get back to releasing four models a month: one original, two general fanart, and one western cartoon.
With the extra time of the fifth model, though, I'll work on a model that will have no fixed release date. It will be released when I feel it's ready to be released, or when I think I'm unable to improve it anymore. This could take two, three, four months, I don't know, but it's going to be released only when it's ready.
I may eventually get back to the five models a month scheme, but I really need some time to see how far I can improve my models without time constraints, as this may help me improve even my regular models. I hope you guys understand and appreciate my effort to bring you even better models in my future releases.
These "longer" models can be originals or fanart.
tl;dr: In September, my official release will have 4 models. But I'll start working on a fifth model that will be made without time constraints, so that I can make it as good as I can, and it's going to be released to everybody only when it's ready.
As soon as I get back from my vacation, I'll start working on this new "longer" model. I want it to be a fanart character. Therefore, I'd like to ask for your suggestions regarding which character I could make in this case. Please feel free to make as many suggestions as you feel like in the posts below, and then I'll select a few of them for a poll.

Thank you for the understanding. From my perception, what seems to matter more is who is chosen for my next characters, rather than the amount of models itself. For hobbyists, at least. And I'm feeling a lot more at ease now back with four models. Even my eyes stopped twitching :)

Besides, it takes ME longer to finish a print that it does you to create one, so we're all good on this end. Thus far, I've only managed to complete Bianca the Angel and Zissa the Demoness, and I'm pretty happy with how they both turned out!

I see a lot of new creators out there with amazing models, and I want to see how close to their level I can get in all aspects of production. And thank you for the suggestions!

Right now, if I get sick or something, I'll have a very hard time in keeping my promised release quantity. Having a character without a fixed deadline will give me the kind of flexibility I may need in these situations. And it also gives people more time to share their feedback with me, as you said ;)

I'll probably make a poll about it, but I could either alternate between categories each month, for example: Month 1: Original / Live action / Comics or games / Western Cartoon Month 2: Original / Comics or games/ Anime / Western Cartoon Month 3: Original / Anime / Live action / Western Cartoon Or I could just remove the anime category and make a fixed release like: Months: Original / Live action / Comics or games / Cartoon (Western and Eastern) But as you can see, live action models are a priority of mine.

I have to admit that with the five models routine, I started to feel a lack of motivation with my work that I hadn't felt in a long time, and that's why I decided to change something. I may change things again in the future, but right now I'm excited to see what I can do without a fixed time constraint for a model.

But I changed to five a few months ago, and this experience made me feel like I'm always rushing to finish everything, that's why I want to take my time with at least one character.

My only concern with your plan is that “one original, two general fanart, and one western cartoon” doesn’t seem to leave any room for a piece based on a real person, which are usually a highlight of your monthly releases for me. I love the suggestion for Jessica and Holly from “Logan’s Run”, but think it likely that such pieces will be squeezed out in favour of yet another totally-interchangeable game character, which I personally find boring. Or am I misunderstanding what “fanart” encompasses?

Maria sitting in the cell from Silent Hill 2 would require a full scene and just the right facial expression. A really daring idea might be Tomie from Junji Ito. Or the Other Mother from Coraline. Ciocie Cioelle from Kill Six Billion Demons would be wild.

2024-07-09 19:04:33 +0000 UTCI dont really have a specific character to recommend, i would just say to choose something that you are excited to do and passionate about so it doesnt feel laborious to work on that long and choose one that is a bit outside of the norm for you so that it gives you the drive to stretch out more. Long as whatever it is fits those im sure it will be awesome and a model id be happy to get.
