I had a free day and I could do more than I was expecting with regards to my Anck Su Namun sculpture. I refined her outfit elements and the also her base. Now I must only work on her skin decoration. For that, I'd like to know your opinion.
Do you prefer negative or positive space for the lines on her skin? I mean, should I carve these lines on her surface, or should I add a new layer with the lines on top of her skin?
Which one is better for painting, according to your experience?

2023-05-03 04:48:00 +0000 UTCI would have to say raised because I think using negative space could result in an odd look once it's actually on the shelf. The only other option I could see is outline only and have those lines be etched in then you should be able to get very crisp clear edges while the vast majority of everything would be on the same plane
