First! For the $5+ Patrons, don't forget about the poll to determine the direction of The Elven Maid story.

As for the art piece itself... Yay! I got another one done in reasonable time, despite everything else I'm juggling. I'm not 100% happy with it, the right arm being a bit 'off' and the eyes being a bit too big and making the nose look a touch funny as a result. I tried to fix the eyes, but couldn't manage it at the late stage I noticed the problem. The arm I'm not even sure what went wrong, let along how to fix it. I use pose references for pretty much everything, and I still can't figure out why it looks a little 'wonky' as the brits would say.

Also, sadly, I think that might be the last I get done in the 3-day pattern I've been shooting for. At least for this month. I'm going to start knocking out the renders for the new Eros Academy scenes over the weekend, and I'm going to be pushing hard to get as many of them done as possible, even at the expense of not getting any art done.

Why? Because the negotiations for a new freelance project I mentioned in a previous post are mostly done, and I'm going to be on a time crunch, piling a test project for the new contract onto my usual workload, starting Monday. Since I really need this contract to work, it's going to take absolute precedence over anything to do with either game. As such, I'd like to get most of the Eros Academy renders done this weekend. If I manage that, and steal the time to finish it up somehow during the week, then I might be able to get both reward finished before the end of the month. I'm certain I'll get at least the Eros Academy additions done (unless something major happens), but between the new contract stuff and the fact that I'm going to be out of town for 4 days... Well, we'll see. I promise I'll do my best, and if the story is late I'll make it as soon as possible into the new month.

Dev Corner

As you might imagine from my ramblings above, I haven't had as much free time to play with the Tyranobuilder as I'd have liked. Even so, the software seems promising. It actually looks like it might let me cut out a lot of the programming stuff I have to do with Ren'py (which I hate, even if I'm good at it. There's a reason I didn't become a programmer even after getting a Bachelor's Degree in software design).

There's been a significant learning curve, however, and I still have one big question in regards to what the software can do. The way I have The Sexy Cosplay Cafe designed at the moment, there is supposed to be a working Calendar, which will eventually be a major part of the game's structure (in example, once all 9 of the planned girls are in the game, they will each have their own set of shifts on different days, and you'll only be able to find them in other parts of town on specific days and at specific times). I've found a script/macro set made by other users of the software which I think will do what I need, but I haven't had time to figure out how to implement it into the test project I'm working with to see if it will handle what I need.

I'm really hoping it works out, since one of the biggest drags on my enjoyment for making these games has always been the programming side of things. Without having to do as much there, it would be much easier to keep my motivation going.
