Scene 3/10 Completed

Alright! I was pretty sure I was going to manage the third scene before the end of the month, and I did. Not bad for only a little over half a month working on the renders (remember, I was effectively out of commission for the first two weeks of the month between the flu and then catching up on the freelance work that lapsed while I was sick).

This scene is one of the options for new things to do when you talk to Naomi at the pool. You can take her to the onsen and...well, I won't spoil it. It was intended to be a smaller scene with only 8-renders, and I almost kept it to that. It actually ended up being 9-renders in the end, as I decided I needed a incremental pose between two of the planned renders.

Anyway, things are actually looking on track for the loose update timetable I had. Originally, I was aiming (unofficially) for a first-week-of-March release of the 2.0 update. As it is, I'm a little behind where I wanted to be due to the lost time earlier this month, but I've actually made up ground. Given that the update requires far more programming and writing than usual, I can't be 100% certain I'll make the original unofficial date, but I doubt it will slip more than a week unless something else unexpected happens.

The $5 Short Story Reward - Update

Jaylee and I have about 7000 words written, with another long writing session planned tonight which we're 99.9% certain will finish the story off. However, we're going to need tomorrow to give it an edit pass, making it technically late. Given that it's going to be twice the normal length, I don't feel as horrible about that as I usually do, but I still apologize for it!

On another note, even at the 10,000 words we are estimating it will end at, we aren't expecting it to get as far into the concept as we really wanted it to. As such, we're planning on writing a second story to expand on it (unless everyone hates it). Given that we've been having a really easy time getting the content for this one down (it's just long, rather than there being any delays), we have some hope that next month's short story will actually be out pretty early on in the month!
