PATRONS PLEASE VOTE - Plus General Update

First and Foremost, if you haven't already, please go to the New Game Poll post and let me know which of the games you would most like to see. Less than half of you have voted, and you'll make the biggest difference if you vote PRIOR TO January 24th. Right now, I'm planning on cutting at least 2 of the 7 games before I go public with discussion of the options.  So make sure to say your piece, since I won't cut ideas that current patrons DO express some love for! If you don't want to comment on the post for some reason, feel free to send me a private message with your vote.

Having gotten that out of the way....

Eros Academy Update:

I'm just about finished with the first new scene for the 2.0 update. In fact, technically, I've already made all the renders I originally intended to for this particular scene. However, I decided to making a couple of branching options. That's actually going to put it up above the maximum renders I intended to do for any given scene this time, but I think it will be worth it. The whole point of this update is to provide a feeling that you've actually fully gained Naomi as a girlfriend/significant other/submissive pet, by allowing you to have interactions with her spread out over the entire academy, whenever you want. To that end, making the scene a bit more diverse will only help. I'll likely finish the extra renders either tonight or tomorrow, and get working on the next scene.

New Art Update:

So, I wish I had something super cool to show you from my work on getting my art up to snuff. Unfortunately, right now, I'm currently stuck still adapting to the wacom tablet. The attached (rather bad) sketch is the result of trying to fix the problems I'm having drawing proportions. The problem is caused by the relatively small surface area of the cheapie tablet I had to get (only 6 inches by 5 inches) compared to the large size of digital canvas I have to use in order to make decent-resolution lines not look like tree trunks.

Because the canvas is 20 inches by 20 inches, and the drawing surface is only around 1/4 of that, I have to zoom in quite a bit to make the lines I draw loosely match what I see on screen. This has the effect of not allowing me to see the whole sketch at once and screws up my relative proportions as a result.

I mostly have it fixed, thankfully. I've spent a few hours doing front-on proportion drawings (something like 5 of them, with a lot of redrawing/tweaking for each), and mostly got that perspective ironed out. Now, I just started on getting the proportions/rotations correct with a character that's cocked one way or the other (which is normally how character art is drawn). The attached image is my First attempt at the angled proportion fixing, so don't be too freaked out at the poor quality ;-).

I went ahead and showed this one, rather than waiting until I got another better looking one, so you could see what I mean about my proportion issues. The most obvious places you can see it here are the legs and neck. At the zoom rate I'm using, I can see about 1/3 of the sketch at a time. Meaning that each 3rd is internally consistent, proportion wise. The face, while rough (since this was just a sketch, not a serious attempt at drawing something), is proportionally correct with itself. The torso is internally proportionally correct with itself (baring the slightly wonky arm poses), and the legs are internally proportionally correct with themselves. However, the legs are proportionally off to the torso by maybe 3-5%, and the torso is off from the head by maybe 3-5%. Meaning that, overall, the head is proportionally off from the legs by as much as 10%. All because I can't see all of it at once -_-.

See the problem? Anyway, I'm working on fixing it, and also getting a solid start on the art courses I acquired with the intention of bringing my art up to snuff (I'm about 5 hours into the first 26 hour class). So, hopefully, you'll start seeing some decent art from me in the near future, rather than these kinda-horrible sketches.
