Foraging and asking for permission..
Added 2024-11-22 02:00:02 +0000 UTCWith sisters recently we had the honour of creating earth altars and in doing so I was reminded of the very thing that I rarely share and yet should speak on...asking for permission!!!
Each and every plant, flower and herb of the plant kingdom is a living thriving sentient being and it deserves the respect to be asked before foraging anything...
always remembering to leave gifts at altars for the unseen, the ancestors and the sacred fairies..calling on the spirit essence of the plant/herb etc and asking if it is okay to forage?
Listen in your heart, feel in your hands, really connect with. the auric field of the plant and pause to listen..you will know if its a no!!!
Once I didn't listen when picking a violet and immediately received a bee sting to the ear I wore it behind...some say a sacred bee priestess initiation, others say an omen for not listening to the violet spirit.. I say both!!!
KEYS TO NOTE:
Do not pick the first or the last of anything...
Flowers can determine the colour of your shirt so never under estimate how much the plant kingdom is watching...act accordingly...
Show respects by leaving an exchange if it feels aligned
always take from need and not greed
