2025-01-24 20:07:31 +0000 UTCI did a deep dive into Rafayel (affinity 135) and Sylus (affinity 107) and I genuinely can't pick between then anymore. They're so similar (rich boys, lots of influence, shady underworld connections, love spoiling MC and letting her do whatever she desires - in fact they revel in MC claiming her power, both have a scaled non-human form and a bird plushies, both tied to her with a bond [rafayel claimed MC as his with his GoT bond, and MC claimed sylus as hers through her immortality curse bond], both love letting MC take the lead bcuz they can read her heart soul at this point even though they can easily reclaim that power (tbh xav can do that too). And then you have the differences; raf looks innocent but can be morally grey - and sylus looks morally grey but is a huge marshmallow, raf loves the ocean and has dominion over the deep sea yet hates heights and not being on stable land - and sy loves the freedom of flying through the air and has dominion over the skies but hates deep waters as it makes him uncomfy. TLDR Raf is MCs heart while Sy is her soul, and one cannot exist and thrive without the other 👀 Therefore I say we need both, throuple at this point. (Canonically I feel like Raf would be okay with that since he has a line that says "this boing fish isn't here to break up the couple, but rather join them" and we don't know how lemurians love... or dragons for that matter lol Who knows if human rules and societal norms apply?
