She wouldn't even need to pop in; just the inherent threat of being placed on the sofa on his night would have done the trick π€£ But full disclaimer - that is totally my parenting style. Not always but most of the time. Prepares them for disappointment and the fact that even if/when asked nicely, everyone is not going to say yes or comply, so mean lesson but a valuable one.
