2024-06-14 19:03:37 +0000 UTCSo the reason Wells wants Barry to be the flash is because Barry created the speed force..in the comics When Barry was struck by lightning with all the chemicals he created the speed force and simultaneously the speed force went throughout all of time and space making it seem like it was always there which is why some speedsters have the speed force longer because in the comics the multiverse has different time periods…So basically without Barry there is no speed force which also explains why Thawne lost his speed when he killed his mother because he succeeded on making a timeline that didn’t have the flash and without The Flash there is no speed force. And without the speed force nothing in the future actually happens like thawne getting his speed

The only thing that could be potentially unenjoyable is the process of just running through 3 seasons of Arrow to get to Flash season 2 but once things are in place then it’s game from there for everyone involved.
