1st, you can help who you love, especially when you take time to date a guy you know is off limits because he is your father's partner, and then fall in love down the line, so not excuse or sympathy for Iris here! This is my favorite Arrowverse show, hands down, but it would have made alot more sense to you had you watched the Arrow. And if you continue watching beyond season 1, you will be confused and miss a hell of a lot if you continue to skip the other Arrowverse shows, especially during the cross over events. Rewatching this makes me think that the kiss between Barry and Felicity is why Oliver shoots Barry with an arrow...

***NO SPOILERS*** DON READ THIS TO TRY AND BE LESS CONFUSED yea theres crossovers which is what a lot of people are saying but what that means is, Barry will sometime be in the Arrow show, when the crossovers happen CW alternates which show has the episode of the crossover. In this case all that stuff you saw with Barry and that blonde girl happened as an episode on "The arrow" starring green arrow who we saw in the first episode. and then the next cross over episode will be in Flashes show (Which is coming up soon). They did this back then so that it was balanced and so that people would feel more inclined to watch both shows. But it can be really over whelming to catch up on now. but the crossover episodes are my favorite and they are pretty cool.

LOL you're going to love this series! My mom watched it religiously! When it was airing on TV she'd block off an hour for this and then an hour for Arrow that came on right afterwards. She'd be closed up in her room and I knew better than to disturb her when The Flash was on! LOL I watched the first season with her, but she continued through to the end! She transitioned two years ago. This is bringing back great memories! I hope you watch at least the full first season. Although I believe you may continue :)

There are some episodes that are crossover and things like that, but you can just watch the flash with flash episodes only, dont need to watch crossovers and all cause it can be confusing
