That's only because Buu didn't really train. Imaged if he trained with Goku and them all the time.. but when he did look who he trained under compared to everyone Else.. and remember "Frieza Was told to stay away from Buu.... HE GOT SUPER NERFED!!

He can regenerate, Heal others, turn you into chocolate or anything else and absorb people and their power. If he was on the team it wouldn't be as fun to watch and would make things much easier for universe 7 and would probably be boring.
