I had another tough week and don't have any chapters to post. The good news is I'm over the hump and should have chapters next week (maybe even before Friday).

I did spend time thinking about the prologue for book 12. Sometimes I know for sure what the prologue should be and sometimes it changes. If you've been with me for a while you'll remember book 11's prologue was originally from Zylkin's view.

Since I don't have chapters, I'll tell you a bit about my plans for the prologue right now.

It will be from the Death Tower's point of view. Death is meeting the Life Tower to discuss Ruwen/Ruin. Where are they meeting? At the Body and Mind Towers of course.

You might wonder where those towers are located, which would be natural since the only clues provided were in a riddle-poem Io gave Ruwen. That poem contained multiple clues for anyone who has read all the A. F. Kay books (not just the Divine Apostasy series). It might be enough to guess where the towers reside. Here is Io's riddle-poem to refresh your memory:

On a distant world two pillars rise,

guarding a vessel from prying eyes.

Angelic wings bearing heavens wrath,

scorching paradise to Shag’la Rath.

Three fragments remain their message concealed,

Red, black, and silver a secret revealed.

Librarians wielding unknown powers,

A treasure map to your hidden towers.

Most of my foreshadowing is light, small clues that are only obvious on a reread, so I don't blame anyone for missing them. Technically, the Inklord Conclave activation at the end of book 10 was another clue to what might be coming. That clue, however, requires one to pull back and see the forest, not the trees, and ask: who comes to Inklord Conclaves?

Anyway, my plan right now is to "hang a lantern on it" as they say in writing circles. In the prologue, while Death is waiting for the Life Tower to show up, he'll overhear a conversation at the base of the tower that will remove any doubts about the location.
