October 12, 2024 - Update

Hi!

This was a tough week for me. Work took a toll and I had a lot of other appointments that made writing difficult. Because of that I only got one chapter written for book 11 and one for Divine Awakening.

We are already a good way into October. Travis needs book 11 sometime in January. That gives me around two months to finish book 11 if I want to get any revising done (which I need for sure). That means I am very behind.

Divine Awakening will suffer because of this. I plan to still write chapters when I can, but I want to be up front and honest about my priorities being book 11 as I know some of you came here from Royal Road. I am still working on my productivity so that I can put out more chapters, but with two small kids at home and everything else going on, that might not be enough for consistent chapters.

If this is a deal breaker for you, please DM me. I can clarify any questions you have or refund your money. I don’t want anyone to think I’ve taken advantage of them as that is not my intention.

I’ll release the cover tonight as well. I ended up leaving things alone. I don’t have the mental energy to second guess my decisions.

****Some small spoilers on the general content of Book 11…skip if you don’t want to know anything about Book 11****

Originally I had planned for book 11 to encompass the Destruction Realm and the Ink Lord Conclave. Many of you had correctly guessed the title of book 11 because of this.

This changed when I realized I couldn’t do both stories justice. Either I’d need to shorten the Destruction Realm portion or rush the Ink Lord Conclave. I didn’t want to do either. So I made the decision a month or two ago to focus just on the Destruction Realm in book 11.

I opened up chapters 15, 16, and 17 to Root.

I opened up chapters 18 and 19 to Harvester.

I added chapter 20 to Step Master, Blapy’s Favorite, Divine, and Axiom.

Thank you for supporting these stories. I say that all the time but if you knew how often I didn’t feel like writing because I’ve had a long day at work or the kids were especially bad or I upset my wife, etc. you’d be shocked. What keeps me writing consistently is the responsibility I feel to you. That has benefited us both these last five years. So truly, I thank you.
