Hey!

Well the season of travel is starting up for me. I flew to DC this week for work which wrecked my sleep, but thankfully was able to get some writing done on the plane. On the whole, this week has been one of the best writing weeks I’ve had in months.

This weekend I’m flying to the east coast again but this time with my whole family. We are spending Thanksgiving with some family I haven’t seen in a long time. I’m looking forward to a relaxing week and hope I can get a lot of writing in.

This story has fans from all over the world, so I know many of you don’t celebrate anything this week. For me, Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday as I love the concept of a day centered on gratitude. And wow, do I have a lot to be thankful for. I’ll save all that for next week’s update though.

The chapters this week are still part of the same section, a section I had considered optional in my original beats/outline for the story. That “optional” portion has turned into the necessary foundation required for book ten. It is yet another example that I need to just always trust myself. Even though sometimes I feel overwhelmed by everything that’s happening in the story, some part of my brain has it all worked out.

The chapters this week also reveal a different side of two characters, which is always fun. This has been a really enjoyable section of the story to write.

I opened up chapters 46, 47, and 48 for Root.

I opened up chapters 49, 50, and 51 for Harvester.

I added chapters 52, 53, and 54 for Step Master, Blapy’s Favorite, Divine, and Axiom.

I actually also added the beginning of chapter 55 as well to stop the wailing and gnashing of teeth I can guarantee would have occurred. Haha. See, I do have a heart.
