As many of you know, I have a day job, and only write in my spare time. This makes balancing everything in my life challenging sometimes, especially when one aspect of it consumes more of my mental energy than usual. This week, my job was the culprit, and I didn’t make as much progress as I’d hoped with my writing.
The year is slipping away and I only have a couple of months left to finish book 9 (I need a month for revisions and edits), as my next slot with Travis is in January. I think that puts me a little behind, and I need to work harder.
Lately, I’ve read a couple older sci-fi books (The Forever War and Old Man’s War) and currently on book 3 of I Shall Seal the Heavens. I’m not sure how I never got to that classic, especially since I loved Coiling Dragon series so much. Anyway, I’m enjoying ISStH a lot. The translation that is in KU is superb.
Like every update, I’m optimistic for next week, and hope to regain some momentum.
I opened up chapters 28, 29, and 30 to Root.
I opened up chapters 31, 32, and 33 to Harvester.
I added chapters 34, 35, and 36 to Step Master, Blapy’s Favorite, Divine, and Axiom.

I really enjoyed the bobiverse books but haven't read the fourth one yet. Was it any good?

2023-10-14 04:33:08 +0000 UTCAll those are REALLY good books. I got the whole ISSTH from Wuxia World before they brought it to Amazon. Very enjoyable read. Coiling Dragon is also very good - I couldn't get past the 5th book though. I keep promising myself I'll return to finish it. Old Man's War is one of the funniest, lightest and at the same time heavy book I've read. I some times re-read it just for the introducing chapters. The reflection at the start is very soulful and makes me think of what things are important in life. But I have never read the Forever War. Thank you so much for the recommendation. Now I know another good book to read!

2023-10-07 07:33:58 +0000 UTCDay jobs always eat up time and energy that could better be used elsewhere. Unfortunately they are needed to pay the bill and to pay for the toys. Try not to stress about it too much, you work is amazing and is worth waiting for :)
