Divine Apostasy Book 9 - Chapter 30

This book is now published on KU. KU has rules requiring no more than 10% of a book be available by other means. Due to this restriction, I have removed this chapter.

If you wish to continue reading, please email me and I will send you the *.epub file for you to add to your Amazon device.

I'm sorry if this inconveniences you in any way. I am only doing this so I can remain in the KU program.

Thanks for your understanding.

Great catch! I have fixed this. Yikes.

Not sure if it matters but at one point you call it an Apocalypse Band not a Hoop. I’ve been dying to look at those items Pen left in the Apocalypse Band so I’ll do that while Harvesting.

I imagine the system has some built in compensations for the Universal constant that allows for multiversal travel, and the adding and subtracting of energy/mass too. Maybe they're weighed against the multiverse as a whole and not each Individual Universe? I'd bet there is a selection somewhere in the Architect Menu that monitors this number. Miranda clearly indicated that Divine realms are actually part of the Universe , even though they're in a pocket dimension, since finding the right place to make them mattered, the Spirit that Penn put in his Divine realm *should* still count as being part of the Universe in question... at least to that constant. Ruwen could approach many Step Clans and get them to create Guilds. While I do like the Guild System, I'd suggest a structure for different types of Organizations, which would allow people to be members of more than one. Guilds (Adventure Organizations), Mercantile Organizations, Governments, and Trade related Organizations (For Blacksmiths, Alchemists, etc...), and maybe Special Interests Societies (Which maybe Step Clans would be under?). Or maybe just a category to select what the guild falls under when it's made, and some options whether it allows it's members to be part of other guilds, or what type of guilds you could be part of. Like if it's a Mercantile Business, then you can't join other Mercantile Businesses. If it's a Step Clan, then you can't join other Step clans, etc..

Such awesome questions. I'll answer the second part first. You brought up in an earlier chapter about the Ascendant/Cultivator choice and it made me think a bit on how Ruwen would handle that. I actually added some verbiage to the chapters I'll release next week to address this. So, thank you! The first question is addressed (partially) for the first time with both of the items you'll see in next week's chapters. Not the items themselves, but clues inside them that hint at some of the underlying processes. I totally understand your conservation of mass/energy argument. I'm not sure if you know this but my undergrad degree is in Chemistry. So I am a huge science nerd. Thanks for being so passionate about the story and for asking such great questions. I encourage everyone to do the same. It will result in a better and more believable story.

I know, it's terrible. I'm not sure why it always ends up like that. I think something might be wrong with me. haha.

There are a few things I'm confused about. All of these changes are taking a lot of Terium for the temples, the temples run off of the stuff, which means they run off of spirit, since that's what Terium is. The Terium on grave is finite. But you can't actually destroy matter or energy. Where is it going after they use it? And what happens after they use it all? Do the temples stop working? When the spirit in Penn's Divine realm is returned to the galaxy... the fact that after so long no more spirit has shown up has baffled me. Does that mean it isn't produced by things in the universe, there is only so much of it to go around? Cultivators / Gods could actually use it all up? That goes against the laws of conservation of mass. After someone spends spirit on something, and they don't have it anymore, it must have a change of refreshing elsewhere. It's gone from an excited state to a non excited state, and exited the cultivator's body. How do you charge it again? Also Ruwen never went into why people started using classes and levels instead of cultivation. You'd think he'd add something in the Quest / Contribution system to encourage cultivation. And didn't Lir say there used to be other classes like Femite Engineer or something too? This suggests the current ones aren't the only options. Maybe having a level 2 Architect Role Ruwen would have access to more classes to have the temples give?
