Divine Apostasy Book 9 - Chapter 26

This book is now published on KU. KU has rules requiring no more than 10% of a book be available by other means. Due to this restriction, I have removed this chapter.

If you wish to continue reading, please email me and I will send you the *.epub file for you to add to your Amazon device.

I'm sorry if this inconveniences you in any way. I am only doing this so I can remain in the KU program.

Thanks for your understanding.

Haha. Sift's favorite list.

Man I sure hope I can reuse some of that. Sheesh that was painful to let go.

I did not get that impression either.

Lena M. Lucente

I did not get that feeling in any way I could understand what you mean about Lylan not using Ruwen's first name and that might be weird to you but I have a very good friend that I've known for about 8 years and that's just how he calls out to us is with our last name its not rude its just who he is and that's what I got from Lyl.

Jake Schmitt

For what it's worth, I didn't read this chapter the same way as Pannath. I may be missing some of the subtle details he registered, but even after re-reading the chapter, I wasn't left with negative impressions of Lylan. I'm curious what others think though--I miss details sometimes.

I wasn't upset at you. I was reacting to the characters like the scene actually happened. I know people like Lylan, they're not good people, but you have to tolerate them because you're loved ones really like them or something to that affect. It's obvious Ruwen saved Lylan, yet she still tried to turn the situation around and hold stuff over him. She acted like he owed her something when it was the other way around. and she used something she knew he didn't like but she found amusing against him. That's not how friends act. That just seems to be how Lylan is, she acts like a bitch. She doesn't call Ruwen by his first name, she keeps it impersonal by using his last name only. She doesn't admit her faults, and she tries to turn situations where she was obviously at fault around, even on people who are supposed to be her allies. If I was Ruwen I'd only tolerate her because she was my best friend's girlfriend, and my girlfriend's best friend. But other than that, I'd avoid her.

Pannath

I will take another look at this scene. That is not what I was trying to imply or communicate. Thanks for bringing it to my attention.

Lylan’s eyes glinted for a moment as she locked gazes with Sift. After a few heartbeats she responded. “I have a whip now.” — is this part of Sift’s spanking list?

Samuel Strode

It gets annoying to see MC's acting like they don't have any balls, considering he's one of the most powerful people in the Universe. Ruwen not only doesn't owe Lylan anything, but she likely owes him. Her stupid Hydra attacked him without warning while they were trying to rescue her. And he went above and beyond to save her. And as thanks she pulls this crap with stuff he obviously doesn't like. Lylan is not Ruwen's friend. I'd have been mad at her and given her a piece of my mind for being an ungrateful bitch. And tell her that was the last time I'd ever help her if she doesn't get her attitude fixed. And in case Sift thought he'd have a word, I'd tell Sift that Lylan was permanently cut off from any help or good will unless he talked some sense into her. All she had to do was say thank you, not act like a cunt.

Pannath

The "to-do" list Ruwen provided makes me think he's going to try to make another run to Miranda's realm. Might that allow you to repurpose some of the material from the early chapters you set aside?
