2023-08-26 05:36:33 +0000 UTCThe probe would be my priority as well, because it could reveal Ruwen to other things or beings and the last thing he needs are potential enemies getting info on him when he knows little to nothing of them potential rewards should take the backseat to risk of discovery.

2023-08-23 17:02:32 +0000 UTCI didn't have a problem with him prioritizing the probe. If he went for the loot first, the place might blow up and he'd have to retreat and leave the probe. While the Affinity stuff probably is valuable, Ruwen doesn't know that for sure. Even putting the universe at slight risk for the sake of his curiosity would be wrong. CLARIFICATION: I didn't have a STORY problem with him prioritizing the probe. I agree with everyone else that for the sake of MY curiosity, I want the affinity stuff more, haha. _______________________________ Separate issue: I got stuck for a while trying to figure out when the different events/broadcasts happened and whether the rift caused their initial destruction. I made some suggestions to the text to clarify where my confusion came in: ____________________ They are broadcasting an emergency signal based on multiple criteria and have already delayed the destruction of this facility twice SINCE OUR APPEARANCE in the hope reinforcements will arrive. Ruwen looked up at the dark starless sky. Do you think anyone is out there to respond? The log I unencrypted spans over a thousand years and every PREVIOUS broadcast has resulted in no response, so the probability of a sudden appearance of reinforcements approaches zero percent. What’s it saying? The vast majority of the log contains failed attempts at communication after a disaster that affected their entire star cluster. MORE RECENTLY, they sensed a dimensional shift, and discovered the rift, shortly after your Architect Role upgraded, but lacked the proper protocols to do anything but observe. The appearance of what it believes is the Harmonic and Primal factions activated its defenses, but it was your wings that caused a flurry of communication and delayed the self-destruct of this facility.

2023-08-23 16:59:16 +0000 UTCRight. This affinity wheel seems intensely valuable. So even if it gets blown up here, I am eagerly looking forward to Ruwen replicating it. Clearly the depths of harmony remain unplumbed and there is more to discover. I'm curious at the implications that Lir is from a similar species as the purge, yet was also created at the beginning of the universe by a god with organic hands. Perhaps part of an experiment in co-operation? Or seeing if there is an alternate development path that doesn't end in organic eradicators

2023-08-20 07:41:44 +0000 UTCWhy would he grab for the probe now and risk the other parts of the quest? Shouldn't they try to complete the map first, and collect items? And finally when that is done grab the probe. If the facility explodes, they won't be able to do the other 2. Seems like a poor order of priorities. The facility kept deferring self destruction... the probe wasn't going anywhere. Leave it alone until they complete the other quest objectives.
