I'm not sure that Miranda will lean toward hostile the moment she sees a weakness. Ruwen has been weaker than Miranda from the beginning, and likely remains so, even with his limited understanding of Harmony. If she wanted him dead, he would have been dead some time ago. If she wanted him dead now, the same would apply. She seems to have ascertained that their goals are generally aligned and that his presence is a net positive for the universe. I think her sometimes gruff, threatening manner is just her personality--I don't view her as unnecessarily vicious (although, she is certainly necessarily vicious on occasion). I could be misreading her intent though...

2023-08-12 18:45:51 +0000 UTCRuwen should have shut down Rami's suggestion immediately when she said to bring these things back for her Mother and Fractal. Miranda should NOT under any circumstances be given access to any of this, or any more information without Ruwen's say so. She's scheming, and thinks she is in charge. Every time he gives her information, she uses it to get an edge against him. If she could get her hands on one of those Dissonance generators, he'd lose any edge he had against her, and she could go back to threatening his life at her leisure. I'd hope Ruwen would be smart enough to to view Miranda as a neutral that will lean towards hostile the second she see's a weakness. I wish there was a way that Ruwen could ensure that Rami wouldn't betray him to Miranda, that he could enforce secrecy and non-betrayal.
