Added 2023-05-13 09:49:23 +0000 UTCThis book is now published on KU. KU has rules requiring no more than 10% of a book be available by other means. Due to this restriction, I have removed this chapter.
If you wish to continue reading, please email me and I will send you the *.epub file for you to add to your Amazon device.
I'm sorry if this inconveniences you in any way. I am only doing this so I can remain in the KU program.
Thanks for your understanding.

Stop watches rest at zero, which implies you haven't started the time. Zero means nothing. It's not actually a number, it's a recorded representation of nothing. There would never be a year or day, or anything else quantifiable listed as existing and being Zero. If you did list it as zero, it means you don't have any of it, and it's just to record it's absence or place on your list. While you may be able to find the exact place you'd list as Zero between B.C. and A.D., and list that as the point between. That is just a reference to an un-quantifiable moment that never actually existed in time.

Just as a large number of computer science languages index starting with zero, rather than one, you can have a calendar begin at zero rather than 1. Also, stop watches start at 0.00.00, not 1. The difference comes from the linguistics of ‘the first day’ vs ‘the zeroth day’. A literal and linear time keeping structure such as a temple might prefer a zero type index.

2023-06-13 22:14:58 +0000 UTCHaha. I wasn't trying to be agro. I just have childhood trauma from my step siblings and step parents thinking it was the 19th century when it was 1900 and something, before the internet. Or people thinking 1999 was the last year of the 20th century, when it was 2000. There was nothing I could do to change their mind, and since they out numbered me, they thought it meant I was wrong. Then when I try to sit down and write out the centuries from the beginning to explain it on paper, they walk away and say they don't care and think they're still right. Don't get me started on the half empty vs half full stuff either, lol.

2023-06-08 20:24:07 +0000 UTCThere is a problem here anyone versed in Math should see. Zero isn't a thing, it's a place holder which means "nothing" the absense of something, it's used to balance equations on paper. There is no year zero, because zero doesn't exist. A year is something quantifiable, the first year is obviously ONE , not zero. Like all year now is 2023, not the last day. On our calendar the years should be 1 B.C., then 1 A.D. NOT 1 BC , 0 , 1 A.D. , there is no zero year, or zero century.
