March 11, 2023 - Update

This week was thankfully boring. Everyone is still doing well, and we have transitioned into sleep deprivation mode. Two weeks has flown by, and I am back to work on Monday.
Since I am barely functional and desperately need to sleep, I am going to keep this super short this week. I did do some writing on another project that I am trying to figure out where to start and what shape the system will take. I’ll talk more about that project once I make a little progress, but the book 8 chapters always come first.
I opened up chapters 4, 5, and 6 to Root.
I opened up chapters 7, 8, and 9 to Harvester.
I added chapters 10, 11, and 12 to Step Master, Blapy’s Favorite, and Divine.

I appreciated all the thoughts and well wishes last week. In my normal life, I am a deeply private person, and the things I tell you here are things I don’t even share with some of my friends. Which is ironic because this update if visible to the world. It is a testament to how I feel, though, and proof that I really do mean I’m thankful you are here and supporting this story.

Thanks for the feedback! This comment resonates with me and its something I have been thinking about lately. I had already started the process of incrementally giving Ruwen his full power back, but I am going to make even more adjustments because I don't think you are alone in this. Part of the problem is that while it has been a lot of books...not much time has gone by. Anyway, I hear what you're saying and I agree and I will try and address it as best I can. Thanks again.

2023-03-27 21:41:15 +0000 UTCIt's getting harder and harder to be excited about Ruwen's gains :( Like we are 7+ books in at this point. That's thousands of pages or several dozen hours of audio books, yet in all that time, there's been maybe one time when Ruwen could use all his power (I'm talking about the fight against the army and Lalquinriel in the demon realm.) Manufactured reasons to limit his abilities are getting really old. That said, I really like these books and I have an all new appreciation for how hard it must be to right about cosmically powerful characters. Overall, its a toss up I suppose. EDIT: I meant to post this comment in the CH12 section but I guess my comments stands here instead!
