On Monday, the newest addition to our family arrived, and as of today, Mom and baby are at home and well. Unfortunately, complications from the delivery caused an immense amount of stress for everyone on Monday. Complications which reappeared for Mom on Thursday when we returned home, and resulted in an ambulance ride back to the hospital.
Today, Mom is back home with baby and everyone is doing well with the worst of this behind us. This experience was a powerful reminder to cherish those you love. I send my mom flowers on my birthday every year, and have taught my kids to do the same on their birthdays. BAFK2 will need to send some chocolates as well.
The strength of my wife, and the other women in my life, amazes me. With everything that happened, she hasn’t complained once and I must continually tell her to slow down or stop. I think women are just made of stronger stuff, and I think you will agree if you ever witness a birth of your own.
Needless to say, I didn’t get anything done this week as my focus remained completely on my family. Thankfully, I was far enough ahead that I still have chapters to release.
I opened up chapter 3 for Root.
I opened up chapters 4, 5, and 6 for Harvester.
I added chapters 7, 8, and 9 to Step Master, Blapy’s Favorite, and Divine.

I had a chance to read some of the comments from the last couple of weeks and it reminds me how lucky I am to have such great people here. I’m so thankful for you.

Even my extended family doesn't get updated on my life as much as they should. With my patreon though, somehow, I am far more open than I am with almost anyone in my life. I think that's related to the fact everyone here resonates with something very important to me and it creates a bond that otherwise would not exist. Thank you for the great advice!

Take the time you need and if events arise that slow down your writing, just let us know. We have followed your journey from book 1 and keeping open and frank communication is the only thing you have to give us when family takes more time than writing. Enjoy your new adventure!

The sharing of your "secret" (medical complications) is a rare gift to us (thank you!), and forces me to recall in great detail a similar experience with my wife and son 20 years ago. Fear, relief and gratitude are poor words to express the titanic emotions I experienced. My wife's strength is beyond comprehension. I am very happy to hear your wife and little treasure are doing well.

So I send flowers every year as a thank you for choosing to bring me into this world.
