It is a big night. The top tiers get the end of book 7. Monday, I will post the Prologue of book 8 for free (all the other tiers will have book 7 opened up for them before that). In addition, on Monday, I will add the first three chapters of book 8. Then next Friday, I’ll post more book 8 chapters as usual.
Tuesday of course, is the launch of the final draft of book 7. Which is exciting, but old news for you. It is worth rereading in my opinion as I added a chapter here and there and fleshed out some scenes (especially with Tarot).
I also ordered paperbacks of both Shadow’s Seventh Step and Hamma’s Last Prayer. They will get here in early March. I’ll sign them and ship them off to the Divine tier members as soon as I can. BRB will sign bookplates for Hamma’s Last Prayer, which we will attach to the title page along with my personalization and signature. For those of you who are due books from previous months, I will send all the books up through March. I appreciate your patience and understanding.
A lot is happening in the AFK household. We have some remodeling going on as we prepare for the arrival of BAFK2. Oh, I never mentioned that? BAFK (baby afk…for the newcomers) will get a little brother on the 27th. So if I don’t respond right away, know I am probably passed out in exhaustion somewhere. Thankfully, both grandmas will be here to help for a bit.
Audio is releasing on Tuesday as well. That is a first for me and I’m happy it worked out that way. Now I’ll cross my fingers and hope that book 7 gets the same reception as the previous books.
I opened up chapters 80, 81, and 82 for Root.
I opened up chapters 83, 84, 85, and 86 for Harvester.
I added chapters 87, 88, 89, and Epilogue for Step Masters, Blapy’s Favorite, and Divine.

It is worth taking a moment at times like this and thinking about how much work goes into creating an entire novel. It is a vast amount of time and effort and the only reason it remains worthwhile is that you are here every week, waiting (sometimes impatiently), for the next chapters. That motivation has propelled this series and I can’t thank you enough.

2023-03-04 01:45:11 +0000 UTCI'm glad you think so. I work really hard on each book. I just read will wights interview and he said he works hard on creating the best book he can in six months. Not a prefect book, but the best he can do. That sums up my process pretty well, too.
