November 26, 2022 - Update

This week contained Thanksgiving in the US, which also happens to be my favorite holiday. We drove to spend it with family, which was wonderful. I can now categorically confirm, however, that leaving at four in the morning in an attempt to let everyone sleep (especially BAFK) while you drive, is a terrible idea. BAFK did very little sleeping, and I felt like a zombie for most of the drive.
We head back home in the morning, and I edited tonight’s chapters (and writing this update) sitting in a hotel room. The arrival and quick departure of Thanksgiving is a reminder to me of how little time remains in 2022.
I can barely keep my eyes open, but I wanted to briefly discuss something I was supposed to talk about last week: the title of book seven.
For months, I have tried to find a great title. We talked about some good ones, but nothing really resonated with me. I am 90% sure, however, that I found the one I’ll use.
The working title of book seven is now: Shadow’s Seventh Step
As always, I am interested in your feedback. Without having read the whole book yet, it will be impossible to judge completely, but I would like to know what you think of it in general. Thanks!
I opened up chapters 43, 44, and 45 to Root.
I opened up chapters 46, 47, and 48 to Harvester.
I added chapters 49, 50, and 51 to Step Master, Blapy’s Favorite, and Divine.

I spent a lot of time thinking about you yesterday as I contemplated all the things I’m thankful for. I owe so much to your presence here and believe I’d still be working on book two if you weren’t here to keep me focused and accountable. Thank you for supporting the series. I appreciate you so much.

First, it makes me wonder about the Shadow Steps and their significance; How the Seventh one is related to Ruwen and what it's impact is on the whole story. It also promises me that I'm actually going to learn a lot more about these vaunted Shadow Steps that have been shrouded in mystery all this while. What's so magical about the Seventh one? Suddenly, the seventh shadow step is capitalized in my thinking. It also is in keeping with the naming convention you've established. The name is a great tease.

They keep me in that exciting world when I am not wanting to be in my reality. It helps me not to focus on feeling like crap. I wish I had dimensional chalk so I can make a door and go be with everyone. Maybe Hamma would heal me. Hehe I hope your ride home is a good one.
