This week turned out far more productive than last week. I hope that I’ve found a process that allows me to be more productive, which is good for everyone. The fruit of this is three chapters this week instead of two.
In audio news, Travis finished book six today. He told me it ended up at 18 hours and 23 minutes. I hope you had the chance to drop in and watch him perform it live. It still needs to be proofed and corrected so my guess is sometime in September it will be live. I will keep you updated with whatever I learn.
I mentioned in an earlier update that I had pushed two story arcs (the Master’s trial and the issues back home) out of book six and into book seven because book six had already gotten too long (it took 8 months). I’ve decided to push one of those arcs again into book eight. That means book seven will cover, for the most part, a single arc, the Master’s trial.
I think (and hope) this is good. It allows me to spend more time in this arc and do it justice. Anecdotally, one of the most popular parts of book four was the first trial, so I hope book seven gets the same response. I’ve been thinking about the end of this arc for a long time and I’m excited to get to the climax.
I have an audio slot in February that I will not miss. That means this book will be finished by December to allow for editing and proofing. The good news is that means the wait for book seven will be much shorter.
I am behind on mailing books again. I will do that soon and send out July (if I missed you) and August.
I have opened up chapters 8 and 9 to Root.
I have opened up chapters 10 and 11 to Harvester.
I have added chapters 12, 13, and 14 to Step Master, Blapy’s Favorite, and Divine.
