Hi!

I just can’t seem to end book six. What I thought were a set of straightforward scenes at the end of the book have needed extra chapters as I fleshed out the ideas. I think there is a good chance we break 100 chapters, and it might end up as large as The Fourth Secret.

One thing I’m not doing is rushing it. There are some epic scenes at the end of this book and I’m taking the time necessary to make them satisfying. That’s my intent anyway. You will be the judge of how satisfying it is. Haha.

In other news, I agreed to write a short story for an author friend’s anthology. You will be thrilled to know it will be from the Divine Apostasy universe. In fact, it might involve one of your favorite characters. Hypothetically. What is not hypothetical is the fact I’ll release it to everyone on Patreon first.

The plan for May is this. Finish the book. Do a fast second revision. Submit to a small group of proofreaders and a couple of editors. While waiting for that feedback to come back to me, write the short story tentatively called, The Blind Bandit. Work on outlining book seven (assuming everyone doesn’t die in book six, lol). Go through the feedback from proofers and editors. Publish.

This should all happen by the end of this month. Maybe the first part of June.

I opened up chapters 79 and 80 to Root.

I opened up chapters 81, 82, and 83 to Harvester.

I added chapters 84, 85, and 86 to Step Master, Blapy’s Favorite, and Divine.
