Divine Apostasy Book 6 - Chapter 82

This book is now published on KU. KU has rules requiring no more than 10% of a book be available by other means. Due to this restriction, I have removed this chapter.

If you wish to continue reading, please email me and I will send you the *.epub file for you to add to your Amazon device.

I'm sorry if this inconveniences you in any way. I am only doing this so I can remain in the KU program.

Thanks for your understanding.

I was actually thinking that same thing since book five actually. How she had purposefully put him in danger trying to get him to use the blood oath, but that should've triggered the clan oath...

Unbreak

I covered this a little in a comment above. This is great feedback and I think I will add a little uncertainty (via dialogue with Ruwen) for the Addas on what Ruwen might choose to do. I will work to make this believable and properly motivated. Even a reference to not showing up so he cant get in trouble is a decent motivation.

I appreciate the feedback. I think in addition to Echo providing a little dialogue detailing how she will be fine, I'm going to add a little bit of uncertainty from Ruwen on what he plans to do. That is, he has a real desire to fix the situation in Deepwell, and at least considers doing that. I will work on this in the next revision to make the actions more believable. Thanks!

I think the issue there is Sifts parents know what Ruwen is capable of, and if they're required to inform the clan, than the clan would know as well. So it's not quite believeable to think he just vanished without a trace without someone taking an active hand in him vanishing

S Money

@joe that requires some suspension of belief. Like it doesn't actually require you to believe it, only to be told you won't be harmed.

The questions around Echo are good feedback. I will make a note to add one or two pieces of dialogue to make this clearer. My intent is that she can tell the addas the truth...Ruwen was in the kitchen and then he disappeared. Book four showed us how cut-throat the trials are, and the Clan would not shed any tears for a candidate who couldn't even make it to the start. Absolutely all the addas will be suspicious, but I feel like Echo's behavior walks the fine line between all her oaths. Great feedback! Thank you everyone!

Haha, yes. That has been in my head for almost a year. So glad to get that out.

A. F. Kay

You all suffer enough every week. It was just too painful a cliffhanger. Haha.

A. F. Kay

I mean, madda and padda wanted ruwen to do the master trial. Isn't echo preventing him from going and essentially interfering with bamboo viper business. Last thing they knew was they told ruwen to follow, and then only echo is there. They will obviously know that echo interfered.

Dylan

She is in the same clan as Madda and Padda - The clan forbids killing each other. Also, she didn't kill Ruwen - She just sent him "home." Whatever happens while he is there can be layed at other people's feet, not hers. She has deniability. In fact, if she didn't, her oath to assist Ruwen would have prevented her from doing what she did. That's why she had to be convinced that her father would only question Ruwen, not kill or harm him.

Joe

I don't understand why echo isn't worried about consequences when matta and patta find out about what she did.

Dylan

Very succinct! And accurate! Lol.

Joe

LOL. So true. I would have been pulling my non-existent hair out too! But I would have completely understood why he would. In fact, I was more surprised that he didn't.

Joe

Holy Shit!!

I would have rioted if you had left us here this week
