A couple of this week’s chapters are a scene I didn’t think I’d get to show. I had planned to have it earlier in the book, but it never felt right. Thankfully, an opportunity presented itself and you can see for yourself how it turned out.
Honestly, these types of scenes are my favorite (as I just wrote that I realized training scenes might actually be my favorite…let's call it a tie). I know I hide it really well, but I worry about almost everything when it comes to this story (yes, I know I don’t hide it at all).
The worry that has consumed me lately is about plot progression. The reality is you can’t please everyone, which I learned early on. Especially in a story that has so many types of systems crammed in it. But, probably because we have been away from “home” for so long, this worry has floated to the surface.
Now, I have about 15 to 20 chapters left (I think), and things are going to…lets just say “progress”. Hopefully it is enough for those plot centric readers and they don’t hate the book. I think those of us that love training and character moments have plenty to love already.
I’ve been thinking about book 7 some and even the things that need to be pushed into book 8. There is a lot to be done still.
I opened up chapters 62, 63, 64, and 65 to Root.
I opened up chapters 66, 67, and 68 to Harvester.
I added chapters 69, 70, and 71 to Step Master, Blapy’s Favorite, and Divine.

2022-04-16 03:34:55 +0000 UTCI'm happy training is one of your favorites as well, seeing ruwen use his cleverness and work ethic to build himself against God enemies that have a huge head start is awesome. And you do such an awesome job. I've gotten 2 of my friends so far to listen to the series. I told them, "dude you're gonna get home from work after listening on your drive and you're not gonna wanna stop listening, you're gonna get home, lay on your bed with your phone and keep listening like I did." and that's exactly what happened. I'm super stoked the release of book 6 is drawing so close!
