Hello!

It makes me sad I only have one chapter to post this week, but life conspired against me. This was my last week at my old job, and I spent tons of energy transferring knowledge to the team. What really kicked my butt was my wife traveling, which made me a single parent. Turns out BAFK doesn’t like to sit and watch me type, and this severely impacted my word count.

I posted the final version of book six’s cover. I’m still not thrilled with it. I feel like the scene I chose might have been wrong for the cover. I appreciate all the feedback, though. It turns out polls get a lot of interaction, which I love. So, I’ll probably do more of them. As I write this, I realized I felt the same way about book five’s cover, and that turned out okay in the end.

I opened up chapters 37, 38, 39, and 40 to Root.

I opened up chapters 41, 42, 43, and 44 Harvester.

I added chapter 45 to Step Master, Blapy’s Favorite, and Divine. *wipes away a tear

I’ve been doing this every week for two and a half years now, and I’ve learned a couple of important lessons. The first was there is no “The End.” When I finish a book, the very next week we are traveling together into the next book. It has made me view my writing differently in that I am not writing books so much as one long story that gets bundled periodically. The second is how valuable this Patreon community is. Honestly, if I had to pick a single thing that made a difference, it would be you and what we do together every week here. Without the weekly deadline, Ruwen would still be unloading equipment for Big D’s camping trip. The feedback has also contributed greatly to the quality of the books. I owe you so much. Thank you.
