I hope this finds you and your family safe and healthy.
I was reminded this week how hard beginnings can be. The resistance to starting book five was strong, but I've worked through that and we are rolling. The book will have a prologue, but I'm not sure yet what glimpse of the larger world I want to shed light on yet. I figure that will become apparent to me as we progress.
I ordered a chair and desk for my office this week, so it will be nice when they arrive. It should improve my productivity too, as I won't be traveling around the house like a nomad all the time.
Book four is doing well. The audio has been stuck in Pending Review all week, so I don't have any updates on that yet. I'm still hopeful it might release this month.
I released these first two chapters to Root and above. Starting next week I plan to have enough chapters that we will start the tiered releases.
It feels good to be started. There are so many cool things planned I can't wait for you to read them. I'll write as fast as I can. Promise.

I’m an RPG gamer and find the world you’ve created to reflect many of the factors that bring me joy in the gamer experience as well as setting a strong basis for why RPG features are present in the world. As I wait for the next installment of your story, I have tried to find another lit-rpg project to experience. I’m afraid that, too often, there isn’t a strong logic chain for these other worlds to exist and so I’m not able to appreciate them as much as I hoped. Obviously, you’ll simply have to be superhuman in fleshing out your world! Thanks for the great work!

2021-04-19 16:14:38 +0000 UTCI have to commend you on spending time with the unfortunate realities that a leader of a city would have to deal with after a battle around the city instead of somehow having all of the inconveniences after a battle be ignored or magically gone. Ruwen’s growth as a leader is as much a part of him leveling as his strength and intelligence. Good work!
