I hope you and your family are safe and healthy.
Not much exciting happened this week. I didn't get as much written as I wanted but that seems to happen every week. One thing that took a lot of my time was taxes. Writing has complicated them.
I had to learn how to do things like generate 1099s for my narrator and editor. It made me realize how something that used to be a hobby and something I did just for myself had morphed into a small business, where I have to deal with other professionals and of course the IRS.
Independent authors do so much more than just write. I'm lucky in that I like the business side and running a small business has been fun. Somedays I must remind myself that I need to write, or none of the business stuff matters.
Because if you've ever tried to take the perfect story in your head and put it in words, you know how difficult that can be. And how sometimes you will use almost anything as an excuse not to write. The struggle is real.
Anyway, thanks to you, I'm always writing. Saturday is a deadline I can't ignore, even if there are dishes that need to be done. So, thanks for that.
I opened chapters 53, 54, and 55 to Root.
I opened chapters 56 and 57 to Harvester.
I added chapters 58 and 59 to Step Master, Blapy's Favorite, and Divine.
