I hope this finds everyone healthy and safe.
You’ve probably already noticed there is only one chapter this week. I’m sorry about that and will make it up to everyone as soon as I can.
I still work full time and work consumed a lot of creative energy this week. In addition, this was another chapter that has added importance because it ties back to the very beginning of the series, and the motivations found there.
But it required a ton of thought because it wasn’t as easy as I’d imagined it a year ago. Ruwen has experienced so much and changed as a person. Reflecting all this in a believably motivated way was really difficult. I’m still not happy with it, but I must move forward.
I’ve also been thinking a lot about the last third of the book. I really want to finish it in the next 30 days. To that end, I plan on creating one sentence outlines for the next twenty chapters. I’m hoping that increases my productivity and focuses my writing.
In addition, I worked with a cover artist this week on ideas for the cover of book four. I’m excited and nervous about it. You all will be the first to know when it’s ready.
Whew, what a week.
I’ve opened up chapters 34 and 35 to Root.
I’ve opened up chapters 36 and 37 to Harvester.
I’ve added chapter 38 to Step Master, Blapy’s Favorite, and Divine.
