This week was a little tougher than normal on the writing front, but I still made my goals. This week is a perfect example of why you all are so important. Without you here, I know I wouldn't have done anything this week. So I'll start this week's update with some deserved appreciation. Thank you!
I also did some reading on GPT3 as it relates to writing. I was stunned by how decent the writing was when the AI is guided by an author. I never thought AIs could replace humans for creative things, but I'm not so sure anymore. The AI behind GPT3 was capable of something I'll call "coherent creativity." What it spit out made sense. It will be something I keep a close eye on.
This week also had me reconsidering dictation as a way to increase my productivity. I have talked myself out of this many times already, but the benefits are just too great to ignore. It will be like any other skill, and I'll need time to level it up. But the result should be a significant increase in words, which is good for all of us.
I'm wondering if I should release The Last Messenger chapters on a different day. Like maybe Wednesdays, instead of dumping everything on Saturday. I may try that, just to split things up a bit.
For Book four:
I opened up Chapter 2 for Root.
I opened up Chapters 3 and 4 to Harvester.
I added Chapters 5 and 6 to Step Master, Blapy's Favorite, and Divine.
For The Last Messenger:
I added Chapter 2 for Root.
I added Chapters 2 and 3 for Harvester.
I added Chapters 2, 3, and 4 to Step Master, Blapy's Favorite, and Divine.
I hope I got all that right.
