This week really got away from me. Worldbuilding slowed my productivity and I'm paying for it tonight. Anyway, next week is a new week and I'll do better.
You probably already noticed the first chapter of the book I talked about last week. I'd wanted to post more, but I didn't get a chance to edit. This is a different beginning to the story as I think it helps create an emotional tie to Aael before everything goes wrong. Poor kid.
I'm excited about The Last Messenger. It was the story that made me take my writing seriously. When I got an agent, it sidetracked me for years, and when I recovered from that I started The Divine Apostasy. Now that I started revising The Last Messenger, the characters are starting to talk to me again, and it reminds me how much I loved them. I'm still not sure I'm a good enough writer to pull this story off, but I'm a better writer now than I was when I started it. Maybe this is all working out as intended.
Anyway, I hope you all find enjoyment from both stories.
For The Divine Apostasy
I opened up Chapter 1 to Root.
I opened up Chapter 2 to Harvester.
I added Chapters 3 and 4 to Step Master, Blapy's Favorite, and Divine.
For The Last Messenger
I added Chapter 1 to Root, Harvester, Step Master, Blapy's Favorite, and Divine.
In the future, I might start to stagger The Last Messenger chapters, but for this first one, I thought I'd let everyone get a glimpse.
