So for October, we decided to do an entire Excursion on it! We'll be talking what-ifs for the film years 1979, 1988, 1995, 1997, 2000, and the year that got us the Best Picture Ten, 2008.

Because of this episodeI started watching Apollo 13, which I’d never seen before:) Also, I think Penelope Cruz’s performance is one of the best wins of all time. Also great example of a true supporting role. I rewatched The Reader recently. It’s a better movie than I recall, but definitely not Kate Winslet’s best performance, though she gives a worthy one with a very difficult and imho not well-written role.
