Just catching up on these and I was about to post the exact same thing. I wonder if it’s the same kind of “made too far outside of Hollywood” situation. Sasquatch Sunset really deserves at least some buzz (because we need a THOB episode on it one day).

I knew, I just KNEW, that that movie would have a real uphill battle toward the Oscar nomination it so deserves - and honestly, I thought the same of THE SUBSTANCE, which I do not think is a lock for that Oscars category but seems a lot likelier. Surely we won't see both of those make it, we can't have things that nice.

2024-12-17 06:36:14 +0000 UTCI'm catching up on these guilds' nominations now, and I just saw that among ACE's Best Edited Documentary Series nominees is "The Jinx - Part Two." I don't think I've ever heard of anything LESS in my life than "The Jinx - Part Two."
