Hey Ricardo, thanks for letting me know. I'm just getting new gear so I will definitely share my current practice/recording setup very soon

For me as a amateur simple things like where/how do you arrange gear, computer, keyboard, cables (!!) is already interesting. Not sure if you did already, but a humble suggestion! Best,

2024-11-22 17:40:32 +0000 UTCAs you said, I think it depends on your use case. Here are my thoughts... - Because I am already setup with an interface, computer, monitors, daw, ampsims, etc... I have no use for a nano or quad or similar device or a real amp for that matter. My setup gives me more flexibility IMO and covers my current needs entirely. - If I were to jam with a real drummer/band in a rental space again, I would definitely want a cab and a real tube amp, because tube amps IMO capture more the nuances of your playing and i feel you have to work harder with a tube amp to make it sound right vs an ampsim. I strongly believe that that ampsims hide some of the flaws in our playing that a real amp shines a bright light on. - If I was doing shows, I think i would prefer the transportation convenience of the quad cortex over the of an amp based setup. - if i was traveling a lot and wanted something to practice or write, then I would consider the nano or similar devices for convenience. - if I am recommending something to a new guitarist looking for a solution or someone who is new to the digital realm, I would probably recommend the nano or similar to lower the learning curve and entry cost over my setup.
