Issei Hyoudou Meets Sailor Moon

The night sky shimmered above, stars twinkling against the vast, dark canvas. The full moon loomed high, casting a soft silver glow over the quiet city streets below.

Issei Hyoudou stood atop a rooftop, hands in his pockets, surveying the unfamiliar skyline. The city looked modern, but there was an odd energy in the air, something mystical yet light-hearted. It wasn’t like the dark, corrupted places he had been thrown into before. This world felt… brighter.

“Alright,” he muttered, adjusting his jacket. “Guess I'm in Tokyo, looks old, so another dimension that is just like Earth but different.”

Then, a distant cry cut through the night.

“In the name of the moon, I’ll punish you!”

Issei blinked. “...The hell was that?”

A streak of light zipped through the sky, landing in a nearby park. Curious—and with nothing better to do—Issei leapt from the rooftop, his Boosted Gear barely glowing as he activated it as he softened his landing in the trees. He crouched on a branch, peering through the leaves at the scene below.

A group of strange, shadowy creatures with glowing red eyes hissed and advanced toward a girl standing defiantly in the moonlight. She wore an outfit that looked like a cross between a school uniform and a magical girl costume—white and blue with red accents, a flowing skirt, knee-high boots, and most importantly, a golden tiara resting above her bright blue eyes. Her long blonde hair was styled in two distinctive buns with twin ponytails flowing down her back.

Okay… definitely not the weirdest thing I’ve seen, Issei thought.

The girl pointed dramatically at the creatures. “I am Sailor Moon, champion of love and justice! And for hurting innocent people, you’re gonna—eep!”

The monsters lunged.

Issei sighed. “Yeah, no. Not watching someone get wrecked today.”

With a flicker of movement, he jumped down, landing hard between Sailor Moon and the attacking creatures. His Boosted Gear flared to life, the red gauntlet gleaming in the moonlight.

The monsters skidded to a halt, hissing at the new arrival.

Sailor Moon blinked. “Huh?”

Issei glanced over his shoulder at her. “Hey, nice speech. But maybe next time, don’t wait for the bad guys to charge you?”

She pouted. “I was getting to the part where I attack!”

“Uh-huh,” Issei deadpanned before cracking his knuckles. “Lemme handle this real quick.”

One of the monsters lunged. Issei barely moved before his fist met its face with a boom—the creature was sent flying into a lamppost, which bent on impact. The others hesitated.

Sailor Moon’s jaw dropped. “Whoa…”

Issei smirked. “That’s right, I can punch things really hard.”

One of the remaining creatures snarled and leapt at him. This time, Sailor Moon acted fast.

“Moon Tiara Action!”

Her glowing tiara spun through the air like a golden disc, slicing straight through the monster. It shrieked before dissolving into dust.

Issei whistled. “Not bad. Never seen a tiara be used as a weapon.”

She grinned. “Told ya I was getting to the attacking part!”

The last few creatures didn’t seem too eager to continue the fight. They growled before vanishing into the night.

Issei exhaled. “Well, that was easy.” He turned to face Sailor Moon properly. “So… mind explaining the whole magical girl thing? First time I see an authentic one.”

She looked him up and down, curiosity shining in her blue eyes. “You’re not from around here, are you?”

“Nope. Name’s Issei Hyoudou—dimensional traveler, occasional badass, and guy who just saved your butt.”

She huffed, crossing her arms. “I totally had that under control.”

“Sure you did, Moon Princess.”

Her face turned pink. “M-my name is Sailor Moon!”

He chuckled. “Alright, alright, Sailor Moon. So, you gonna tell me what those things were?”

She frowned. “They’re Youma—monsters that feed on human energy. I fight them with my friends.”

Issei nodded. “Monsters draining people’s life force? Yeah, sounds like a Tuesday.”

Sailor Moon giggled. “You talk like you deal with this kind of thing all the time.”

He flexed his gauntlet. “You could say that.”

There was a pause before Sailor Moon beamed. “Well, if you’re a hero too, then that makes us allies!”

“I wouldn’t really call myself one.” Issei says with a shrug.

“Either way, you did help me and that makes you a hero in my eyes.” She held out her hand. “Welcome to Tokyo, Issei Hyoudou!”

He shook it. “Thanks, Moon-chan. Just one question—where can I get some food around here? Punching monsters makes me really hungry.”

She gasped. “You too?!”

The two of them laughed as they walked toward the city lights, the full moon shining brightly above them.
