Chapter 2 Terraforming
Added 2025-02-10 01:46:57 +0000 UTCSoon we arrived on a large plot of land. It could barely be called an island. Just a patch of sand in an endless ocean. I had no idea where I was, Lapras didn't know either, and my only real option was to wait and hope for something.
There was absolutely nothing on it. But at least I could stretch my legs and dry off.
"Alright, so step one of survival," I muttered as I started to think about what was needed, tapping the side of my head. "Find food. Step two, find water. But we'll have to start looking for a larger island. But we have no idea where it could be. I wish one would suddenly appear.” I said, talking to myself trying to get my thoughts in order.
Click.
I froze.
I hadn’t moved. I hadn't touched anything. But something clicked in my hand.
Slowly, I looked down.
Another Poké Ball. But this one was an Ultra Ball. The ones you use to capture powerful Pokemon.
Just like before. Just like with Lapras. Did it respond to my feelings or desires?
The moment I realized it was there, the button on the front flashed red.
"Oh, you’ve got to be kidding—"
Before I could even think about tossing it away, the Poké Ball burst open in a blinding explosion of red light.
What appeared in front was the biggest creature I have ever seen.
Covered in armor, red plates on its head and down to its tail. Its underside was the color grey. A large, red, reptilian creature with sharp claws, spikes along its body and tail.
The tiny sandbar shakes violently, as if something massive is trying to rise beneath it.
The water surrounding the island pulls away, revealing more land beneath the surface.
Lapras lets out a panicked wail, backing away from the island. I quickly followed it and got on its back. We quickly swam away.
The temperature skyrockets in seconds—the sand beneath the protagonist’s feet turns hot. The sky shifts to a strange golden-red hue, as if the sun itself is reacting to what's happening.
A Massive Shape Forms Beneath the Sand. At first, it just looks like giant slabs of rock rising.
The once-small sandbar has become an entire volcanic landmass.
Lava seeps through cracks in the ground, slowly cooling into obsidian.
Groudon lets out a thunderous roar, sending shockwaves across the ocean.
"Okay. Deep breath. I summoned Lapras. That was fine. But this—THIS is NOT FINE!"
Lapras is losing its mind along with me, frantically splashing in the water trying to flee the magma coming our way.
I freeze as I realize the 'island' we were once on is now huge. With a volcano in the center and Groudon standing above it.
Groudon POV
Darkness. A deep, suffocating slumber.
As I finally wake the fuck up and my senses return. I noticed something I fucking hate surround me. Disgusting. Water.
Cold, wretched, suffocating water presses against my glorious body, seeping into the cracks between my scales. The weight of the ocean surrounds me, invading my territory. The ocean surrounds my domain.
My blood ignites with fury, the very essence of magma coursing through me. The insult is unbearable. Water, that cursed element, dares to claim fucking dominion over my presence? Over fucking me?
How fucking dare it. How dare that fucking fat blue whale even think of expanding his influence on my turf.
I fucking move. The ocean trembles in response. The land beneath me shifts, eager to obey my will. I rise, bringing forth layers of sand and stone that have been buried for far too long.
And then, I fucking roar. The sound is thunderous, a declaration of war against the very sea that dares to exist around me. The sky darkens, then shifts—no, obeys. The clouds part, and the sun burns hotter, bending to my will.
The land stirs, desperate to answer my call. Heat surges through the earth, splitting rock apart. Lava bleeds from the cracks, meeting the water with an angry hiss, hardening into new land. The island expands, growing, reshaping itself into something worthy of my presence.
But still, the fucking ocean remains mocking me. I snarl, my claws flexing. If that bloated, pathetic, fat piece of shit had anything to do with this, I swear—
A sound catches my attention. I turn, and I see them.
A human. A single, insignificant human clinging to the back of a Lapras. They are far enough to not be immediately burned by my presence, but not far enough to escape my notice. Why do I feel as if I know that fucking human.
I soon ignored him. In favor of the Lapras. A creature of the sea. A fucking servant of the enemy. My eyes narrow.
The human looks… horrified. Flailing, shouting something I do not care to understand. The Lapras is panicking, trying to escape the waves that churn with the birth of my land.
Good. They should fear me.
The ocean has ruled for long enough. The time of water is over.
The land will rise. As it fucking should. And I will make sure of it.
